中文 耶和华的话临到耶利米说,
英文 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

中文 耶和华以色列的神如此说,你将我对你说过的一切话都写在书上。
英文 Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.

第3段

中文 耶和华说,日子将到,我要使我的百姓以色列和犹大被掳的人归回。我也要使他们回到我所赐给他们列祖之地,他们就得这地为业。这是耶和华说的。
英文 For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

中文 以下是耶和华论到以色列和犹大所说的话,
英文 And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah.

中文 耶和华如此说,我们听见声音,是战抖惧怕而不平安的声音。
英文 For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.

第6段

中文 你们且访问看看,男人有产难吗。我怎吗看见人人用手掐腰,像产难的妇人,脸面都变青了呢。
英文 Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?

第7段

中文 哀哉。那日为大,无日可比。这是雅各遭难的时候,但他必被救出来。
英文 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it.

第8段

中文 万军之耶和华说,到那日,我必从你颈项上折断仇敌的轭,扭开他的绳索。外邦人不得再使你作他们的奴仆。
英文 For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:

第9段

中文 你们却要事奉耶和华你们的神和我为你们所要兴起的王大卫。
英文 But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

第10段

中文 故此,耶和华说,我的仆人雅各阿,不要惧怕。以色列阿,不要惊惶。因我要从远方拯救你,从被掳到之地拯救你的后裔。雅各必回来得享平靖安逸,无人使他害怕。
英文 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.

第11段

中文 因我与你同在,要拯救你,也要将所赶散你到的那些国灭绝净尽,却不将你灭绝净尽,倒要从宽惩治你,万不能不罚你(不罚你或作以你为无罪)。这是耶和华说的。
英文 For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.

第12段

中文 耶和华如此说,你的损伤无法医治。你的伤痕极其重大。
英文 For thus saith the LORD, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous.

第13段

中文 无人为你分诉,使你的伤痕得以缠裹。你没有医治的良药。
英文 There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.

第14段

中文 你所亲爱的都忘记你,不来探问(或作理会)你。我因你的罪孽甚大,罪恶众多,曾用仇敌加的伤害伤害你,用残忍者的惩治惩治你。
英文 All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.

第15段

中文 你为何因损伤哀号呢。你的痛苦无法医治。我因你的罪孽甚大,罪恶众多,曾将这些加在你身上。
英文 Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.

第16段

中文 故此,凡吞吃你的必被吞吃。你的敌人个个都被掳去。掳掠你的必成为掳物。抢夺你的必成为掠物。
英文 Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.

第17段

中文 耶和华说,我必使你痊愈,医好你的伤痕,都因人称你为被赶散的,说,这是锡安,无人来探问(或作理会)的。
英文 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

第18段

中文 耶和华如此说,我必使雅各被掳去的帐棚归回,也必顾惜他的住处。城必建造在原旧的山冈。宫殿也照旧有人居住。
英文 Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.

第19段

中文 必有感谢和欢乐的声音从其中发出,我要使他们增多,不致减少。使他们尊荣,不致卑微。
英文 And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

第20段

中文 他们的儿女要如往日。他们的会众坚立在我面前。凡欺压他们的,我必刑罚他。
英文 Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.

第21段

中文 他们的君王必是属乎他们的。掌权的必从他们中间而出。我要使他就近我,他也要亲近我。不然,谁有胆量亲近我呢。这是耶和华说的。
英文 And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the LORD.

第22段

中文 你们要作我的子民,我要作你们的神。
英文 And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

第23段

中文 看哪,耶和华的忿怒好像暴风已经发出。是扫灭的暴风,必转到恶人的头上。
英文 Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.

第24段

中文 耶和华的烈怒必不转消,直到他心中所拟定的成就了。末后的日子你们要明白。
英文 The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.
