旧约-申命记(Deuteronomy) 第20章

第1段

中文	你出去与仇敌争战的时候，看见马匹，车辆，并有比你多的人民，不要怕他们，因为领你出埃及地的耶和华你神与你同在。
英文	When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

第2段

中文	你们将要上阵的时候，祭司要到百姓面前宣告，
英文	And it shall be, when ye are come nigh unto the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people,

第3段

中文	说，以色列人哪，你们当听，你们今日将要与仇敌争战，不要胆怯，不要惧怕战兢，也不要因他们惊恐。
英文	And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them;

第4段

中文	因为耶和华你们的神与你们同去，要为你们与仇敌争战，拯救你们。
英文	For the LORD your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.

第5段

中文	官长也要对百姓宣告说，谁建造房屋，尚未奉献，他可以回家去，恐怕他阵亡，别人去奉献。
英文	And the officers shall speak unto the people, saying, What man is there that hath built a new house, and hath not dedicated it? let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man dedicate it.

第6段

中文	谁种葡萄园，尚未用所结的果子，他可以回家去，恐怕他阵亡，别人去用。
英文	And what man is he that hath planted a vineyard, and hath not yet eaten of it? let him also go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man eat of it.

第7段

中文	谁聘定了妻，尚未迎娶，他可以回家去，恐怕他阵亡，别人去娶。
英文	And what man is there that hath betrothed a wife, and hath not taken her? let him go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man take her.

第8段

中文	官长又要对百姓宣告说，谁惧怕胆怯，他可以回家去，恐怕他弟兄的心消化，和他一样。
英文	And the officers shall speak further unto the people, and they shall say, What man is there that is fearful and fainthearted? let him go and return unto his house, lest his brethren's heart faint as well as his heart.

第9段

中文	官长对百姓宣告完了，就当派军长率领他们。
英文	And it shall be, when the officers have made an end of speaking unto the people, that they shall make captains of the armies to lead the people.

第10段

中文	你临近一座城，要攻打的时候，先要对城里的民宣告和睦的话。
英文	When thou comest nigh unto a city to fight against it, then proclaim peace unto it.

第11段

中文	他们若以和睦的话回答你，给你开了城，城里所有的人都要给你效劳，服事你。
英文	And it shall be, if it make thee answer of peace, and open unto thee, then it shall be, that all the people that is found therein shall be tributaries unto thee, and they shall serve thee.

第12段

中文	若不肯与你和好，反要与你打仗，你就要围困那城。
英文	And if it will make no peace with thee, but will make war against thee, then thou shalt besiege it:

第13段

中文	耶和华你的神把城交付你手，你就要用刀杀尽这城的男丁。
英文	And when the LORD thy God hath delivered it into thine hands, thou shalt smite every male thereof with the edge of the sword:

第14段

中文	惟有妇女，孩子，牲畜，和城内一切的财物，你可以取为自己的掠物。耶和华你神把你仇敌的财物赐给你，你可以吃用。
英文	But the women, and the little ones, and the cattle, and all that is in the city, even all the spoil thereof, shalt thou take unto thyself; and thou shalt eat the spoil of thine enemies, which the LORD thy God hath given thee.

第15段

中文	离你甚远的各城，不是这些国民的城，你都要这样待他。
英文	Thus shalt thou do unto all the cities which are very far off from thee, which are not of the cities of these nations.

第16段

中文	但这些国民的城，耶和华你神既赐你为业，其中凡有气息的，一个不可存留。
英文	But of the cities of these people, which the LORD thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth:

第17段

中文	只要照耶和华你神所吩咐的将这赫人，亚摩利人，迦南人，比利洗人，希未人，耶布斯人都灭绝净尽，
英文	But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee:

第18段

中文	免得他们教导你们学习一切可憎恶的事，就是他们向自己神所行的，以致你们得罪耶和华你们的神。
英文	That they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods; so should ye sin against the LORD your God.

第19段

中文	你若许久围困，攻打所要取的一座城，就不可举斧子砍坏树木。因为你可以吃那树上的果子，不可砍伐。田间的树木岂是人，叫你糟蹋吗，
英文	When thou shalt besiege a city a long time, in making war against it to take it, thou shalt not destroy the trees thereof by forcing an axe against them: for thou mayest eat of them, and thou shalt not cut them down (for the tree of the field is man's life) to employ them in the siege:

第20段

中文	惟独你所知道不是结果子的树木可以毁坏，砍伐，用以修筑营垒，攻击那与你打仗的城，直到攻塌了。
英文	Only the trees which thou knowest that they be not trees for meat, thou shalt destroy and cut them down; and thou shalt build bulwarks against the city that maketh war with thee, until it be subdued.
