中文	犹大王约西亚的儿子约雅敬第四年，尼利亚的儿子巴录将先知耶利米口中所说的话写在书上。耶利米说，
英文	The word that Jeremiah the prophet spake unto Baruch the son of Neriah, when he had written these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,

英文	Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, unto thee, O Baruch:

中文	巴录（原文作你）曾说，哀哉。耶和华将忧愁加在我的痛苦上，我因唉哼而困乏，不得安歇。
英文	Thou didst say, Woe is me now! for the LORD hath added grief to my sorrow; I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest.

第4段

中文	你要这样告诉他，耶和华如此说，我所建立的，我必拆毁。我所栽植的，我必拔出。在全地我都如此行。
英文	Thus shalt thou say unto him, The LORD saith thus; Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land.

中文	你为自己图谋大事吗。不要图谋。我必使灾祸临到凡有血气的。但你无论往哪里去，我必使你以自己的命为掠物。这是耶和华说的。
英文	And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest.
