旧约-箴言(Proverbs) 第4章

第1段

中文 众子阿,要听父亲的教训,留心得知聪明。
英文 Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.

第2段

中文 因我所给你们的,是好教训。不可离弃我的法则。(或作指教)
英文 For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.

第3段

中文 我在父亲面前为孝子,在母亲眼中为独一的娇儿。
英文 For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.

第4段

中文 父亲教训我说,你心要存记我的言语,遵守我的命令,便得存活。
英文 He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.

第5段

中文 要得智慧,要得聪明。不可忘记,也不可偏离我口中的言语。
英文 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.

第6段

中文 不可离弃智慧,智慧就护卫你。要爱他,他就保守你。
英文 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.

第7段

中文 智慧为首。所以要得智慧。在你一切所得之内,必得聪明。(或作用你一切所得的去换聪明)
英文 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

第8段

中文 高举智慧,他就使你高升。怀抱智慧,他就使你尊荣。
英文 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.

第9段

中文 他必将华冠加在你头上,把荣冕交给你。
英文 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.

第10段

中文 我儿,你要听受我的言语,就必延年益寿。
英文 Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.

第11段

中文 我已指教你走智慧的道,引导你行正直的路。
英文 I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.

第12段

中文 你行走,脚步必不致狭窄。你奔跑,也不致跌倒。
英文 When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.

第13段

中文 要持定训诲,不可放松。必当谨守,因为他是你的生命。
英文 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.

第14段

中文 不可行恶人的路。不可走坏人的道。
英文 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men.

第15段

中文 要躲避,不可轻过。要转身而去。
英文 Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.

第16段

中文 这等人若不行恶,不得睡觉。不使人跌倒,睡卧不安。
英文 For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.

第17段

中文 因为他们以奸恶吃饼,以强暴喝酒。
英文 For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.

第18段

中文 但义人的路,好像黎明的光,越照越明,直到日午。
英文 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

第19段

中文 恶人的道好像幽暗。自己不知因什吗跌倒。
英文 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

第20段

中文 我儿,要留心听我的言词,侧耳听我的话语。
英文 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

第21段

中文 都不可离你的眼目。要存记在你心中。
英文 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

第22段

中文 因为得着他的,就得了生命,又得了医全体的良药。
英文 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

第23段

中文 你要保守你心,胜过保守一切。(或作你要切切保守你心)因为一生的果效,是由心发出。
英文 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

第24段

中文 你要除掉邪僻的口,弃绝乖谬的嘴。
英文 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.

第25段

中文 你的眼目,要向前升看,你的眼睛,(原文作皮)当向前直观。
英文 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.

第26段

中文 要修平你脚下的路,坚定你一切的道。
英文 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.

第27段

中文 不可偏向左右。要使你的脚离开邪恶。
英文 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
